Child Poverty

There is a lot in the news lately about child poverty in the UK.  Child poverty is a terrible thing!!  However, I can’t get my head around the measures that people are using to make claims about the current levels of poverty.  Here is what I mean.

The responses from the professionals in the room all seem to be based upon these words phrases:

“I can’t affoard a holiday this year either”

Rufus is Dead

Party on Dude!!

“De Nomolos, my old gym teacher”

Gavin Peacock // Football Pundit // Theologian

Did anyone see the football highlites last night?  We had just got in from the gig and found that Gavin Peacock was openly conversing about his faith on the TV with a bunch of blokes.  He was talking about how he was leaving his role as a presenter to train for ordination.

It has to be said, blokes find it really difficult to be open about their faith at the best of times.  In a particularly blokey context it is neigh on impossible for a bloke to override the instict to run away from the topic and hide in the corner.  You don’t get much more of a blokey context than football so here’s to Gavin Peacock.  A mans man who managed to witness to what he has seen through the medium of football.
