Firstly my apologies for the lack of posts recently.  By way of explanation, as regular readers of my blog will be aware I also have a role within the inherited church as well as a passion for the emergent.  One of the big things that I am involved in is Holy Week @ Mirfield.  For those of you who are unaware of who what or where Mirfield is, it is a small town in the middle of the Pennines.  At Mirfield there lives a monastic community called the Community of the Resurrection.  At Holy Week many of the monks depart to parishes and the students of the theological college ensure the continuation of the daily office is maintained through the passion and resurrection.

As you can see from the website, people are invited to attend the week and enter into the quite intense pattern of worship.  They particularly hope to encourage those who are exploring a call to Christian vocation although anyone is welcome.

Not only have I been attending rehearsals for things such as singing plainsong (somehow I have become a cantor for the event) but also putting together some ways of spreading the word – hense my lack of blogging.  Here is a video comprising still images and music to give you a flavour of the event.

There is also a facebook presence here.
