Mary’s Lullaby 2020 | Free to Use Christmas Carol

It is all in the vlog.

And there is the song itself.

But if you’d just like the audio…

And of course if you want the lyrics….

Mary’s Lullaby (Away in a Manger)

Away in a manger, asleep on the hay,
I will watch over you at the end of the day,
The stars in the bright sky shine down where you lie,
As angels sing ‘Glory be to God on high’.

My spirit rejoices, for news of your birth
Like wildfire will spread over all of the earth;
A light in our darkness, a hope for the poor,
God’s gift to all people of life evermore.

Your name shall be Jesus, for this holy night
Is fulfilment of promise through God’s saving might;
But now sleep in peace, as I sing lullaby,
I will stay by your side til your dawning is nigh.

– Lyrics adapted by Ruth and Robb Sutherland

If you could give us a credit if you use it, it would be much appreciated.

If you would like to read our original rational/rant about Away in a Manger it is here.

Advent Music | Free to Use

I said it all in this video:

Here are the four weeks of music:

A huge thank you to Miranda. We have sung this every year since 2013.
Check out her blog for the words.

We See the Fruitful Harvest

We did a simple version of We See the Fruitful Harvest by Sam Hargreaves. It is a wonderful set of words for the modern world to the tune of We Plough The Fields and Scatter.

We have done a lot of more complicated recordings since March but we decided to do this with just an acoustic guitar and a couple of vocal tracks. We expected it to be very simple but once we heard the finished product decided to upload it to YouTube as a stand alone song.

If you would like the resources to do it yourself, they are all available from Resound. if you would like to use our version, please feel free. Atribution would be nice but not essential.
